Name____________________________   Quick Write (20 minutes)
Please provide a narrative, plot summary for Part I of Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.”  Conclude with answering the following question: in terms of qualities of Romanticism, what crime (s) has the Mariner committed? Make sure to explain why this is so. You may use your graphic organizer of the poem, as well as the organizer that accompanied the images you analyzed last week. Be mindful of language conventions: capitalization, punctuation, subject / verb agreement and spelling. I am putting this in as a writing grade (50%), not a classroom participation grade.
